Interestingly, I recently made a booking with Asiana, directly via their website. As part of the booking process I had to create a four digit PIN to protect the booking.

I have no idea what protections that provides on the back-end for a privileged user gaining access to my PNR (if any), but it's an interesting extra layer that is welcome to me at least.
