I'm also consider a trip to the US from HK. I could go nonstop on CX, but I checked that prices via DOH are the same for both Y and J. Being the avgeek, I'm thinking if that's the case I would go on a mileage run, enjoy lounge access at DOH. But I'm by myself. If I'm going with my better half (and my year old daughter) then I'd bite the bullet and go nonstop. But if its without my daughter then I'd try twist her arm to go the long route with me and try release her inner avgeek and rack up some miles
