This has always depended on each specific hotel and restaurant. If the charge shows up as the hotel then you'll get the credit, if it shows up as the individual restaurant then you won't.
Does anyone know if any of the resorts in Las Vegas do this? I'll be in Vegas in October and looking to use the resort credit for dining but won't be staying at the resort.
