We stayed at a Residence Inn in Surprise, AZ last February. This hotel had what they called, a wellness check. Everyday of our stay we had to let them know if everything was OK. We just went to the counter each morning and gave them our room number. If we didn’t checkin, they would send someone to check on us. Easy enough, but I asked what this was about and are all Marriott properties doing something similar. The counter representative told me it was a management rule at this hotel. Said there had been issues with “Do Not Disturb” signs left on for long periods of time.
