I would contact thw authorities at both ends of your contract of carriage plus write an official complaint in the book of complaints (livro de reclamaçoes). Seems like the new CEO from tiny SATA actually makes things even worse.
In Portugal is not only TP. It's all large companies. It's a culture of screw you. I'm Portuguese and I hate it Dealing with small companies is easy and fair. In these large companies management and some regular employees are all political hacks. Residents have to complain to a consumer organization called DECO and their lawyers get things solved. For one I avoid flying with tap. Have lived most of my life in the states where the culture of the consumer is always right prevails.
