Lesson learned: never trust AF to book a hotel room (although in the past that had not been an issue but...). I'm happy to report that AF called me today, 1 week after submitting the EC261 claim, they apologized profusely, stated that they would refund hotel and taxis in the next two weeks by wire transfer, and they will send the two 350€ vouchers for compensation
Edit: received the vouchers and wire transfer confirmation, that was efficient
