Tough choice.

The sheraton is extremely handy for the JR station ( about 30 mins by local train, then 5 min walk and 10 min ferry to Miyajima island)- i would check the times of high/low tides if you want to walk out to the torii gate but it is beautiful to view the gate from different points as the tide goes in and out.
It is a nice walk along the tree lined Peace boulevard ( lots of memorials) from the hilton to the Atomic bomb museum and peace park
