I have not been active for a while but would want a final word on this scenario. Booked flight + car for double points but car not needed. Which is the best solution and what are the downsides of each a) visit the rental agency and indicate that you will not be taking the car b) take the car keys but not actually drive the car out of the garage c)take the car and look for the cheapest car parking facility in town and return the car to rental at the end d) ignore the rental completely and go on your own merry way. The option that I would really like is option d) so long as there are no repercussions and I still get the double points. Are there station specific problems associated - a hypothetical station is Malta.
