Did you book directly with QR or through a travel agent? Some of this confusion could, perhaps, be agent related?

Either way though, fingers crossed that you get the resolution you are hoping for. The A380 is great in business and also has the bar area to go and stretch your legs. So it wouldn't be a bad flight. Personally I think the seat is more comfortable than qsuite, esp if you can grab one by the window (others may think differently of course!)
