Just spent a few days here. Booked a standard room and got upgraded to Deluxe One Bedroom Suite as Diamond.

The fit and finish in this hotel is top notch. The suite was large with a double balcony facing the pools and sea too. (The rooms facing the other way must have a miserable view of empty sandy lots). Only hotel in Lusail with a private beach.

The beach is nice with table service for food via QR code. Sunbeds and loungers by the pools also, but there were a LOT of kids in the main pool and also the kids area. This was more noticeable on the weekends but the weekdays were a bit quieter. Watersports are available on the beach and the team there are great - I went every day.

There is a Sushisamba restaurant which is the spot to party if you're here on Friday and Saturday, it gets very lively and is popular. The Highmore was also nice with rooftop views and a cigar lounge inside, a more relaxed vibe here. I didn't check out the others.

The spa is definitely worth visiting. Didn't try any treatments but I enjoyed the sauna, steam, heated pools with bubbles/jets and also a cold plunge pool. There are heated loungers by the pools too.

There's not really much nearby apart from the huge Vendôme Mall across the road. The scale of it is pretty impressive. It takes about 5 minutes to walk there, good luck in the heat.

Ubers always seem to get lost on their way there, it seems the roads on the maps and directions aren't quite correct so ended up going in circles a couple times.

Next time I'm flying home from somewhere East I'll make sure to plan a stopover for a day or two and stay here.
