Exactly. I wonder if other LH group airlines have a similar "policy" in place, or if it's just LH. At least I know going forward to avoid LH like a plague when on partner Premium Economy and Economy tickets.
Anyway, (somewhat) back on topic, *A should really introduce some kind of reciprocal seating benefit for *G (and PY and Y/B fares!). It would force LH and others to cut some of this BS out. It would also help mitigate some of the other customer-unfriendly policies *A has in place (zero bags on Basic/Light fares for *G, no connecting airport lounge access for non-*G F/C pax, lounge guests having to travel on the same flight, completely worthless *S, etc.)
