EDI Lounge closing early - should a voucher be offered?

EDI lounge closed at 20:30 this evening, well before the (delayed) last flight to LHR which was originally scheduled for 21:20. I asked if a voucher was available and was told these hadn't been authorised.

On querying this with a supervisor, I was told that the lounge would only ever stay open to accommodate an on-time departure, which I don't think is correct, but for which 20:30 is stretching things a little.

Their proposed solution - "take as much as you want from the lounge". Sadly I didn't have anywhere to deposit the chili con carne and all the sandwiches had been cleared away. So the sum of my grand 'sweep' was two packets of crisps and a piece of cheese.

Will BA reimburse a £4.99 WH Smith meal deal / send some avios my way? Barely worth moaning about but it has irritated me a little. If this was mumsnet this would definitely be an 'AIBU'....

Cheers,
~S
