I find some of the cold items to be acceptable. Not at the level of the AF salons, but you may find something edible. I think the sandwiches are okay, too.

My main gripe are the hot items. I find most of those to be truly terrible. It goes to the point where you take a bite and immediately decide not to finish it. Even if you're quite hungry. Even if you feel a little bad about the food waste. In fact, there's an argument to be made that even the LH Senator lounges in FRA, MUC, DUS, and BER are slightly better in terms of hot buffet items.

I do enjoy sitting in the back section of the NS 52 lounge (if it's empty) and also appreciate they reopened the Blue bar and restaurant. It's fair the bar serves some free drinks and you can sit up there decently.

So it's certainly not all bad. But the food offering is a fail. And, of course, they really need to do something about the overcrowding of the Schengen lounge.
