I doubt that routing via DOH would be allowed because your ticket isn't going to be either Joint Business or BA/QR shared business. I can't see any BA codeshare between DOH and DXB. So it is allowed under policy if there is no alternative but in reality there are plenty of alternatives. Moreover I'm guessing the ORD-DTW sector is in prime AA? In which case the solutions will relate to AA options only. The presence of lounges, or indeed terminal changes, won't count for much, the whole rebooking policy relates to getting you from Dubai to Detroit. 110 minutes would normally be fine from a rebooking perspective, and normally OK from a viable travel point of view if you are a USA citizen / Global Entry.
