Not planning on renting a car and a big walker to begin with, so I figured any exploration I can do can be done on foot with relative ease; don't think I have the time to skedaddle to Durrës or into nature, but open to suggestions if need be.
Does one need LEK in cash form, or do taxis/etc. accept cards?

You can prepay the Taxi at the airport with a card and they also accept euros cash. But I highly suggest having a little cash because there’s been dozens of times “the card machine is down” or they just straight up don’t accept cards. I would say majority of restaurants accept cards but the cafes and bars can be hit or miss. Also (the big) hotels are the only place Amex is accepted.
For 2 days you’re basically gonna be hitting the highlights.
BunkArt (1 is bigger but 2 is much more convenient), House of Leaves, Skandeburg Square, Pyramid, Mosque and Clock Tower, History Museum just finished their renovations, Mount Dajti and the cable car would be good for a brief glimpse of nature and there’s a good restaurant up there plus an abandoned hotel to explore, Grand Park and the Lake.
