Surely they have some link with Amex where they don’t need to ask the customer what card it it? Because if they are relying on corporate customers to self select and pay, what’s stopping them ‘accidentally’ choosing the personal card option and avoiding the fee?

+1 to this - I've had this 'incorrect default' issue over and over again and it's a minor glitch that is in fact masking a more major glitch. I've not been on any other website anywhere (YMMV) where I've had to specify if my card was personal or corporate. OK, maybe HMRC, but that's because they are making it clear that you can ONLY use a credit card to pay taxes if it is a corporate one...

I wonder if BA would be any more minded to fix it if it was reported to trading standards. Nah, who am I kidding...
