Agreed. It should be reciprocal. Book a PY, Y, or B fare on Airline 1, it should be treated as a PY, Y, or B on Airline 2. After your reply, I called both LH and SK and tried the same argument - at the very least, my SK PY fare should map to Economy Classic. Did HUCA and involved help desks and supervisors, but the bottom line was, "As far as LH is concerned, it's an Economy Light fare on the LH flights. It doesn't matter that you booked a Premium Economy fare." I'm guessing your situation is similar, but you have AC SE agents who can pull some strings.

If I wanted a seat assignment, I had to pay. FWIW, the prices that SK quoted (~€65) were significantly higher than LH (~€15 for the cheapest seats).
