Hello. I will be flying QR J in a few months and will have a long layover in DOH, roughly 9 hours. I will be traveling with a backpack and a carry-on and was wondering if there’s a way to leave my baggage in a locker while I leave the airport for a couple of hours to explore the city.

Is this possible? I will have access to the Al Mourjan lounge, so are there any lockers there?

I would rather avoid carrying my small carry-on with me for the 1-2 hours I’ll be out in the city.

Another (related) question: does anybody know if any special procedures need to be followed if I’m transiting with prescribed medications (quietiapine and zopiclone for my insomnia)? I’d have a copy of my prescription but that’s all… Is the flight connections’ security check strict with these? Avoiding importation and customs is another reason I’d prefer to leave my bag airside.
