Hi, have been following this thread and decided to share my timeline for GEP. I am currently on an F-1 visa and applied through the option for US residents (there's another option for people applying from India).

05/28/2023: Applied on the CBP website and paid $100
05/28/2023: Created an account on the embassy.passportindia.gov.in website and waited to receive the GES/GOES number.
06/03/2023: Received an email from passport services with information about GES/GOES number. I used that to fill out an application to the Atlanta Consulate (I am currently a Florida resident). Filled out the details on the VFS website and paid more money (*sigh*) for the courier services from VFS
06/13/2023: Sent my documents to the Atlanta Consulate
06/15/2023: Received an email from VFS that my documents are in transit to the consulate in Atlanta
06/24/2023: I didn't check the tracking status for many days so not sure when they received it, but now it says that my documents are at the Atlanta Consulate and are currently being reviewed. The passport website says shows me an error every time I try to access it, so I will keep everyone posted of the changes
07/05/2023: Received an email saying the police verification process is initiated
07/14/2023: Police verified my identity by visiting my Indian address
04/17/2024: Received a status update email from TTP (CBP website) notifying me that my application is conditionally approved. Interview scheduled for May 3rd.
