No, shouldn't really be necessary - but such is life!
Brilliant, took me a few minutes to figure out how to email myself the itinerary, but the AY format is soo much more helpful with fare calculation, basis code, etc. BA's presentation of the fare breakdown is a bit confusing on a 2-passenger itinerary (they only show the total base fare but they show the surcharges & taxes on a per-passenger basis), although AY doesn't give the full description of each tax line item, just the code (e.g., US, YC, PT)

That may not necessarily be what you're seeing though - doesn't match the fare code you quote. For reference the first fare component said non-refundable and the second had a $200 cancel fee.
Well, actually that
is the underlying fare code for the return, but yes the outbound doesn't match, and is actually what I originally posted (sort of, read on).

No, apparently not quite simple.
So I did talk to BA. At first I was told that the outbound leg had no cancellation fees, and the return was EUR125. Nice.
But then it was discovered that, (apparently) because this was an AARP discount booking (which the agent said he doesn't see many of), it has a /CUG3 designator. When he plugged
that in, he came up with a $450 cancellation fee per direction before departure (and nonrefundable after departure). He wasn't able to email me the full fare rules (but he did give me the fare basis code), but he walked me through the OLD version of MMB, where if you click on "Change/Cancel Booking" it does actually show you the cancellation fee. So I guess I feel comfortable insuring this for $900/person.
Now, while I always thought that the designator (e.g., for a corporate discount) didn't actually change the terms of the fare, but apparently here it does, because if I do bring up the
INX8T7G5 and INN4C1G3 fare rules on ExpertFlyer, the outbound matches the "confusing" seemingly nonrefundable language in the OP, whereas the return shows a US$200 cancel fee. Go figure.
