I will report back that I took one for the team and occupied 1A on a 20F A321 (pmUS ship but I don't think that matters). I agree. The legroom wasn't awful; really no worse than the other Oasis Krappiak rows in F. The little cutout in the bulkhead at foot level helped a bit.

So, all in all, yes, the A321 F bulkhead is a giant "meh" but no more and no less meh than the rest of the densified F cabin. I won't avoid in the future.
