I wouldn’t say I’m giving up on BA as such - just I’m starting to be less loyal to them as I used to.

I’m only Sliver and have been since 2018 but I don’t think I’ll bother anymore after this year. WestMidlandsGuy2 is a Gold and we’ve both agreed that after this year - we aren’t going to fly BA exclusively and let our status drop.

As we live near Birmingham, we have been using KLM from BHX as we don’t currently have any OneWorld operators (Qatar is coming back next month but we’ve lost Iberia & American Airlines) and I am impressed with Amsterdam and how easy connections are as well as how many flights there are a day from Birmingham. Plus saves trekking down the M40! I flew Virgin in their new upper class suite a few months ago and I have to say, I was very impressed with everything including the lounge, the ability to preorder dishes and how engaging the crew were!

BA are good in their own way but I won’t be blindly flying them like I used to anymore.
