Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?

Yes, it was alright. Room is about ready for some refurbishment, but was still okay. Condition still considerably better than in some of the run-down HI's I've stayed at in the US and the UK The breakfast buffet was pretty horrible, both the breakfast area and the F&B.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

Booked standard on points, received premium.

What was good and what was bad?

Good: Good starting point for a cycling trip in the area, taxis from KTW are cheap. Welcome amenity (see pic below).

Bad: As mentioned above, the restaurant is not really useful for anything except a pint of beer. Nothing much of interest in the area in terms of culture, shopping, restaurants. But I enjoyed it for a quick solo trip cycling/walking around in nature.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

Possibly, if a hotel is needed in that area. It's not one to write home about as the review hopefully made clear.
