Hotel worker union in LA has voted to strike and first full day of a strike is scheduled to be July 1st.
This protest/action is probably a precursor demonstration to get their message out about the potential of a hotel workers strike starting next weekend.
If you'll pardon the deeply cynical question, but...
why are they being allowed to do this? Like, "You're not on strike (yet) and you're making a total hash of traffic" feels like a reason to tell them to march/rally in a non-obstructing public place (e.g. a park or something).
(I can kinda get it if a picket line is getting in the way. This just makes me scratch my head.)
