I just noticed that AF is not selling any first class from CDG to DXB from 17-09 until 29-09. Does anyone know why? Do they sometimes have a temporary schedule change or does AF have a lack of planes with a P cabin during this specific period?
This is quite anoying for me, as I booked a la premiere ticket for the 20th of september. I just noticed that they downgraded me to business (without any notification...) and am now looking for alternative options.
I had that happen a few years ago (in late 2018): aircraft changed, and I received updated tickets without any special warning of the downgrade. Just noticed the fare class had gone to J.
I reached out and they offered i) to refund the fare difference from P to J; ii) honor the P ground service as originally booked; iii) a comped night in Paris at the Ritz as I had a one-night layover before my following destination
I thought it was an attractive enough offer and took them on it.
Since then, a lot of things changed and it seems AF has become much more stingy, so I am not sure they would be as generous at present ...
