But as a general point it's best to go to the gate or customer service desk, explain what has happened, and ask the gate to offload you. The critical bit is that the agent puts a note into the PNR, which can then be read by the Contact Centre when you are well enough to attend to the matter.
I did go to the gate and tell him what had happened. Though I no longer see my booking when I log into my executive club account. So I am suspicious he didn’t put a note in the PNR.
