hi everyone,
I'd like to ask for your advice in such situation....
I'm Platinum and will arrive with my daughter to ORD early in the morning (around 6:00 am) on one of September Firidays and will depart from ORD do LGA next day around noon. It will be our first visit to Chicago and we'd like to visit Downtown to have at least glimpse of it. Considering our schedule and good public transport connection between ORD and Downtown, as well as cost of hotels in different parts of Chicago, I came to conclusion that staying close to the airport would be best choice for us and I've limited my choice to these three hotels:
1) Marriott O'Hare,
2) Renaissance Suites O'Hare
3) Springhill Suites O'Hare,
as all of them offer free shuttle bus from/to the airport, proximity to Blue Line and free breakfast (factors very important for us).
We'll be staying for points and as for now no. 1 and 2 are available for 24k and no. 3 costs 21.5k. The reasons why I'm considering the more expensive hotels are:
a) both Marriot and Ren are much closer to Blue Line station. All three hotels are in the same area but Springhill's distance to Cumberland station is less "walk friendly". From the other hand, I plan to buy a one day pass for public transport for both of us, so we could reach this station from Springhill by bus approx. in same time, as walking from no. 1 or 2,
b) both Marriot and Ren have executive lounges. Yes, they will be closed on Fridays (which is not important for us, considering our plans to visit city's Downtown) but we can have full breakfast on Saturday morning with no additional fee . Of course, Springhill also offers complimentary breakfast but I expect (correct me, if I'm too much optimistic

) that full breakfasts at no. 1 and 2 might have wider choice.
Considering above, do you think that paying extra 2.5k for no. 1 or 2, comparing to no. 3 makes sense? If yes, would you reccommend Marriott or Renaissance Suites?
EDIT: I have just realized that Marriott Suites ORD are available for 27k, which is still within our points budget, so I might include this property on my list too.
