Booking with Aeroplan, I would book now. The prices (in points) do sometimes go down ... but in my experience, they are more likely to go up. If you have a points booking, and the prices drop dramatically then you can always cancel & rebook (even if there's a change fee, it's worth it if the prices drop a lot). But again ... in my experience, the prices are more likely to go up than down.
