Connect with the hotel and discuss your preferences - especially which rooms you want to have as connected rooms.
I wasn't thinking about upgrade, rather given the hotel's cost cutting that they are more likely to say Glob benefits only apply to the room they are staying in. There is no official policy saying Glob benefits extend to multiple rooms so it is at the discretion of the property so GOH would be a better choice and one that could be argued with the WOH Program T/Cs.
