For a LHR-AMS-BER trip I tried to create a long overnight stay in AMS, that is still less than 24 hours in AMS. The online search doesn't show overnight connection at all, at Delta you can see the quickest overnight connection. Calling in I was quoted the price in miles as if those 2 segments were individual bookings 'because this combination wasn't offered by KLM'. Anybody insights into this, if this is just the way it is or can there be done something about it? I.e. have it calculated by the ticketing department or so.
