I've had 2 UR travel bookings taken over by UA this year and one by DL. I was not charged for this. The FFCs showed-up in my accounts and I was later able to use all of them without agent help. The UR (Expedia) agents are not as knowledgeable or helpful. So I will be avoiding talking to them in the future.
Is taking over an Ultimate Rewards travel booking by UA a routine process or a one time exception/irregular operation?
Just got off the phone with a U.S. based premier agent in Texas, she says she has never heard of taking over an UR booking.
