Booking is through Chase Travel website using Ultimate Reward points. Any change has to be performed through Chase Travel CSR, not UA. It cannot be done online, unlike UA. The one I talked with, does not know the difference between LAS and LAX. She kept looking for LAX instead of LAS. After 20 minutes, I finally asked for her supervisor. Supervisor apologized for the inconvenience.

Additionally,
1. It can only be used once for the same passenger

2. FFC with Chase Travel is only good for one year from original ticket issuance date
4. If original ticket is for a domestic flight, new ticket has to be for a domestic flight also
5. Residual value, if any, is forfeited
Interesting, conflicting view points

The FFC with Chase Travel is a bit of a non-starter for me with all of those additional terms and conditions, which is the impetus behind asking if I can just circumvent Chase entirely but getting a United credit (either a future flight credit or travel certificate... which now I know are different and non-combinable).

Back in 2021 I paid through Amex Travel and was issued a similar credit upon a cancellation, and the T&Cs were the same, however it seemed like for some reason I could only use my FFC for certain fare classes (which was not disclosed to me), which made me essentially purchase a higher-priced ticket than was necessary when I went to use the FFC.
