If you access your TK Reservation through their app, it should allow you to select seats. After the advice of others a couple of weeks ago (see above), I did this, and it worked for me. I used the UA ticket # (starting with 016) for each passenger and the last name and was able to do it in 2-3 minutes. I can still today see our TK Reservation and seats by accessing the same way.
I was excited to try this so I downloaded the app and I am able to see my saved business class flight using United award miles from ORD to IST for Feb 2024 but it will not allow me to choose seats. When I go to manage reservation and enter the 016 UA ticket number I get "Dear passenger the e-ticket number and passenger surname do not match. Please check your information" I assume that means they are looking for a 235 number which I don't have. I appreciate any other ideas someone may have. Thanks
