Doha is indeed not a clean arrival for AMS, but security hasn't been a big issue this year - though I've not been anywhere near the transfer security areas recently.

On the other hand, I'd advocate for telling the beancounters that if they're no longer willing to do it OP's way then flying direct back to their preferred airport will be what happens going forward.

Edit to add: there's no landing on 36L. Polderbaan only has taxiways at the south end and is used as 36L departures or 18R arrivals. Thankfully, because it's already annoying enough to arrive/depart from!
