I suppose ZIPAir has flight all day long. So its airport check-in counter should be staffed in the morning. Would they not allow someone with an afternoon flight to check-in?
Often for LCCs it is specific counters for specific flights. I have not flown Zip yet, so I don't quite know how they do it. The logic is that it is much easier to close check in right on the dot when the counter only does check in for the one flight.
Zip is not as busy as all that yet. So there is not going to be counters open all day for sure, but there will be some overlap here and there.
