British Airways went through a similar sort of thing. 1.1 million GBP in 2021 (due to a voluntary pay cut); over 4 million GBP in 2022. The British media made a big deal of it, of course, as they always do.
And yet..... you will notice that the BA CEO's remuneration is significantly lower than what the CEO of AC is receiving, despite BA being larger than Air Canada. What is Rousseau doing that validates being paid almost twice as much as his BA counterpart in the same role?
