Had a quick weekend overnight at the
Sheraton Hartford Hotel at Bradley Airport to pick someone up from a flight. It was fine.
Was upgraded to the lounge floor (top level). The lounge is open 24x7, unstaffed, with bottled drinks and a few packaged snacks. Mostly just a nice room to hang out in. I requested a room with a view of the runway, was told it was not available, then walked into a room with a panoramic view of the runway. Platinum breakfast was a coupon for "one free entree" in the restaurant. Covered pretty much any single item on the menu. Didn't say if they would include a drink but they did not charge me for a coffee. All the people were nice/pleasant.
Positives- Great location for the airport. It is literally inside the terminal - walkway to the lobby is behind the check-in desks
- Has its own dedicated parking garage that is more convenient than any other option in the airport
- Renovated in recent memory; clean, modern enough
Negatives- Noisy. Could hear people in the halls and through the walls. In fact, in the morning I was convinced the clock radio in the room was on... turns out I was hearing the neighbor's radio through the wall. But I did enjoy the rhythmic chanting/ballading in a vaguely Asian language... others might find that annoying
- Ventilation terrible. The HVAC seems to only recycle air already in the room and the windows do not open. Very stale air.
- Big signs up all over the place advertising the ability to pre-order food for take out from the restaurant. But the system is not available during breakfast.
It's fine for an overnight at the airport but far from the city center and not really any special amenities. Just a normal airport hotel.
