I ended up liking my 2 nights at the Dream. Better than my low expectations. Suite was nice, location good and breakfast excellent. I saw the regular rooms. They are tiny. Not sure I'd want to stay in one of those.
Only issue is gym is not in house - it's actually quite far away, about a 10-15 minute walk at a gym called Templ. But actually it works out because the gym is excellent. This incidentally is where guests from The Time also exercise.
I cancelled my Hyatt Herald stay tonight because they upgraded me from a king to 2 queen bedroom (I didn't like that) so am moving to Time where I was upgraded to a suite. I'll report on that thread my experiences as well as a stay at Thompson right after.
I would choose the Dream over Centric for sure.
