Terrible international travel experience with Delta

PM with Delta, but I haven't flown with them the last few months and have flown SW instead on my last few trips due to a very bad experience in early May.
Currently I'm on a rebooked flight from DTW -> CDG on the second leg of my trip from MCI -> BLR. Originally I was leaving MCI on 6/19, and scheduled to land at BLR on the evening of 6/20.
First leg from MCI to DTW was delayed due to an AC issue on the plane. This caused a missed connection to AMS and in turn BLR. Earliest available flight out of DTW was leaving at 6:05 PM the following day (06/20), and would get me to BLR at 11:30PM on 06/21.
Now the flight from CDG to BLR is delayed, and best case scenario would be getting to BLR at 2AM on 6/22. To top it off I lost my upgraded seat on the leg into BLR. Delta has not been very helpful, and the answer I keep getting is to talk to customer care after my trip is over.
Any tips on what to do here?
