on June 15th Virgin Atlantic Flight got VS24 cancelled from LAX to LHR. it all started during Pre boarding process, staff informed they found some mechanical issue and working towards fixing the issue, they dis embarked passengers who already boarded. 30 mns later, they informed it's going to take 30 mns more. and this proces went on from 10.30pm June 15th to 4am June 16th and finally they announced flight cancelled due to technical issue. and passengers waited all night and we were given water and pretzel snacks only. after 4am, they made us form a line to review the ticket re scheduling and hotel. this process took another 2-3hrs for some passengers. i was given only 1 option which means wait till 9.30pm and take a connection with a long layover to my final destination, i complained on that, and staff mentioned they cannot do anything , and either take it or leave it.. travelling with young kids they made the whole process very difficult. they offered hotel, but asked to wait.. people waited for hrs to get the hotel details.. some people who are assigned a hotel, came back saying hotel didnt allow them. and when i asked how long it is going to take, i was told they have no idea. finally i left to book for myself , my kids are already tired waiting all night..they could have handled this whole process much better. this is the worst experience ever had with any airline.
