I tried to search on FT and also looked at the Air France website but I'm still a little confused. Hoping someone here can either help or point me in the right direction.

We have an Air France flight in Business (JFK-CDG) coming up next week that is connecting to a SNCF TGV train (Paris-Brussels). We have seats for the flight but don't have assigned seats for the train. We know we will be in First Class but that is it. Am I correct in assuming that we will pick up our tickets at the Air and Rail counter when we drop off our bags? Is there any way to select seats in advance to ensure that we are sitting together?

The Air France website has a lot of information if you are coming from Brussels on the train connecting to a flight, but not much the other way around. If anyone has any experience with this I would appreciate the insight/feedback. The information listed on the AF website is below.

  • Follow the "Exit" and "Baggage claim" signs when you get off the aircraft.
  • Collect your baggage from the baggage claim area
  • Walk to the AIR&RAIL counter on level 2 of the TGV station once you have arrived at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport.
  • Upon arrival at Paris-Orly airport, taxis and public transport are available to take you to the AIR&RAIL agency located on level 2 of the Paris-Charles de Gaulle TGV station.
  • You can drop off your baggage at the AIR&RAIL counter from 1 hour to 20 minutes before your train's departure.
  • You are taking the train in 1st class
  • If you have left your baggage with you, you can collect it on the platform when you arrive in Brussels.
