Perhaps also clickbait in your view, but I believe previous CEO was embarrassed into donating to charity a generous bonus that had been paid to him, and millions in bonuses were paid to other management during Covid. It's no surprise that pilots are now looking for significant improvements.
I read PLeblond’s post a bit differently. I don’t think it was directed to you, but rather the people who can’t see why arguing they deserve a raise because their CEO makes $X is a bad idea, and those with similar mindsets. I mean, how many people say that during offer negotiation or salary adjustments, and how do you feel if a job candidate or one of your direct reports say something like this?
