[QUOTE=futuramadramallama;35348147]Sometimes there are $1k one-way tickets on cities that are 200 miles apart, and have a 25% earn rate. Sometimes there are $59 one-way fares on cities that are 1k miles apart, and have a 100% earn rate. Some tickets even have a 0% earn rate. Unfortunately there are so many factors (many opague to the consumer) that go into setting fare prices.

As others have pointed out, MileagePlan has a published table for AA fare classes and their corresponding earn rates. Hope this helps.[/QUOT

Yeah, can’t seem to identify which fare class very easily. Just want to look for flight that fits schedule and purchase. With this knowledge that the AA mileage for EQM may be so low May just be easier to fly direct using alternative carrier when not purchasing through Alaska directly. Ugh, going to have to fly several southwest legs the remainder of the year.
