I agree about LAS. The last few times I have flown BA from there have all been atrocious, and it does boil down to staff who simply don't care and have a bad attitude to boot.

In terms of Group 1 boarding though, it's about the only benefit that I get when flying with BA from Las Vegas - and I'd like to be able to use it. I have PreCheck and CLEAR so that's security taken care of. I have lounge access thanks to my Amex Platinum card. I don't check bags. I get my passport scanned at the gate so I don't need to visit a check-in counter. What's left? Group 1 Priority Boarding and it's something that BA advertises as a defined, published benefit for Golds. It's the one benefit that I can make use of, and I'd like to make use of. However, since First was removed from Las Vegas flights with the demise of the 747s the SOP now seems to be to board Club World and Groups 1 and 2 together. No amount of "feedback" to customer relations makes any difference.
