Thanks all. Flighty warned me that the departure had been brought forward 10 minutes. Person on desk entering B lounge confirmed that they had done and do do this.

I assumed this was a way to trick automated information services into getting people into the gate earlier. I imagine that unless the flights were fully boarded leaving 10 minutes early would leave them open to issues.
