I just realize it's cheaper for me to fly to ICN or TPE and use my UA miles to get to PVG. I don't know if using BA miles from HKG is as cheap, but wow, I'm going to save a boatload of money.

Sounds like Telecom is as bad as I have first heard about them in 2007. Can't believe they're still not competitive even today.
