I wonder about that, too. I have had more recognition as a GS on board this year than I can ever remember before and I am wondering what I have done! On every international flight the purser/lead FA introduces them to myself and checks back that everything is OK even when they are not working my section. 80% of the time I enter a UC or Polaris lounge I get some extra words thanking me for my business. It's all the more remarkable because flights and lounges are fuller than ever.
