I am not sure how much you are talking about here or whether you want to attempt to throw 'good money after bad'. You could purchase some Avois the normal way and assuming the BA systems are not that sophisticated, that should allow you to refund the transaction, buy the boost again and then refund the standard Avios purchase. Again only if it is worth it and BA systems can handle it.
