I am flying Atl-Fra with a 3 year old. LH advertises 25% discount on most routes and almost all fares for kids under age 11. When I booked (before I found this info) I was charged 2 adult fares for me and the kid. Now I saw that in the confirmation my childs ticket is even more expensive than my adult ticket. Can anybody explain this to me? When I called LH, they told me that they dont have any child fares available in their system at all going to FRA this entire year. Somehow I feel like something in their system is going wrong with all this.

You can check for yourself; there is no reduced child fare for ATL-FRA. In the example below, you will see that the same Base Fare of $1040 applies to the child as to the adult.
By way of comparison, reduced child fares are available on AMS-FRA. You will see that a 25% discount is given on the base fare [63 vs 83], but the overall price paid for a child is still 91% of the adult price [199.52 vs 219.52].
