We have found out that that assumption does not work. Constantly having to faff about to get SWMBO’s passport details to stick. Once it is in for one booking you would assume you are OK, but then for the next booking it does not work again. BA’s IT….

but BA's IT gremlins have a way of making life more interesting.
I've been unable to make online check-ins in a straightforward way ever since renewing my passport. No end of agents have tried to assist, messages have been sent to back offices, tears of frustration have been shed.
But hey, you might be lucky: that's the joy of the system. So, fingerscrossed....
I just went to check the earliest booking needing a passport... of course the number in it was the old one.
The bummer is we have ALL renewed the passports, so I have to change it for 4 people on multiple bookings...
